The  objective  of  the  proposed  Institute  is to  build  a creative  advanced research and  learning environment by bringing together world experts, postgraduates,  PhD students, and post-docs from universities and research centers in the US and Africa to explore various practical applications  of laser research  in the environmental and biological fields. A maximum of 50 participants are expected from each side. The number of invited lecturers will be around 10.

The Institute will be held  19 -28 January 2008. There will be two sessions daily, the first  in the morning and the second in the afternoon. In the final program the details of the Institute schedule, tours and entertainments will be given.
